I was so excited to see this beautiful couple again!  I met them a couple years ago while they were on vacation, they weren't engaged yet but they told me they'd be back down to Florida to have a beach wedding one day.  And they did! :)  They had a beautiful, sunny beach ceremony at the Pink Shell Resort on Fort Myers Beach. So maybe 6 years ago I photographed my friends, Chris and Kim, at the beach, just the two of them (first photo below).  And here we are again, back at the beach plus two very adorable little girls!  It's fun to see how much can change...even just looking back over this year.  Speaking of, where on earth did 2013 go?! Here's a little sneak peek of Natalie and Kevin's wedding at Sanibel Harbour Resort.  I looooove November weddings because the weather is perfect and not too humid (finally!!).  This wedding was no exception, lovely poolside ceremony with a cool breeze coming off the gulf...you just can't beat a Southwest Florida wedding. ;) Congratulations Natalie and Kevin!!! Who would have thought that in the middle of a Florida summer you could have a really nice (not too humid) wedding on the beach?!  This is exactly what we got for Katie and Nathan's day and despite the rainy week, we had a nice 2-3 hour window of no rain- all during the ceremony and picture time! I'm thoroughly impressed with Samantha for getting her beautiful family ready for family portraits on the beach for an early morning session...while on vacation!  I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to the beach and lighting, it has to be early (like sunrise early) or sunset!  Luckily, this day we had a bit of a cloudy start so it gave us little more time. Their little girl was adorable, such a little angel!  It is always fun to follow a toddler around on the beach and see what they will do and how they'll react to the sand and water.  :)

This year has been so fun...and one big reason why is that I have had the opportunity to see so much growth in my dear sweet clients!  From beautiful couples tying the knot, to others having babies, to this gorgeous family and seeing their little ones grow a year older.  And now, even as I write this, I realize these two cutie pies are probably looking even older (I'm a little late on getting this blog post up, no surprise there!). We've been able to join Gillian and her family on vacation on Captiva Island for two years in a row now to take some family portraits.  Always a pleasure and always...

I'm back!  I'm emerging from my cave of editing, scheduling,  and planning long enough to blog.  I had to post these photos...oh how I love the beach this time of year.  And to add to that love, I get lucky with this cute munchkin!  This little princess is at the age where she is copying everything you say...so fun!  And then when I saw her a week later, she remembered me...then pointed to my husband and asked "who's dat?"  Too cute!  To start out with her photos is one of my favs...
