Koreshan State Park

I'm excited to show off these engagement portraits we took last month at Koreshan State Park in Estero.  Love how they turned out!  Beautiful day, beautiful location, and beautiful couple! I've enjoyed getting to know Christie and Randy, how they met and especially loved their engagement story (which included an elaborate day long scavenger hunt, Christie's best friend flying down and of course a "yes"!).  I'm positive their wedding day will be very special.  Can't wait for their big day!

Here is a little series of portraits from my last three sessions with this lovely family.  We started out with a Christmas maternity session at Koreshan State Park.  A couple months later I got a few quick shots at the hospital after Baby Girl #2 was born!  A week after that, beautiful baby Elise came in for her portraits and then when she was two months we got the whole family together (or at least at my studio at the same time :) ). I absolutely love seeing families grow...just six years ago we were taking their engagement portraits and here they are now with two gorgeous girls.  Congratulations...

So my beautiful friend, Leann who I've known since high school (which was just a few years ago, or so...yikes!) is getting married...to Jeremy, who she met in high school!  YAY!  I'm so pumped for this wedding, they are such a sweet couple! I love this family!!!  Not only are they wonderful and sweet friends, but they are quite stylish and a blast to photograph!  And it was the first shoot in a long time where I didn't have to dance around and act like a clown trying to get youngsters attention, haha. ;) I told them I want to use their portraits as a great example of what you can wear.  While not being too matchy-matchy, they coordinated well, each with their own personal style.  Love it!  Some food for thought as you start planning your holiday portrait session.  Call me and we can discuss!

Wow, it is time for me to catch up on blogging! This has been quite a busy holiday season! So...here goes!  Our beautiful subject is Ashleigh who was in need of some new business portraits, along with some fun ones too.  Michaela Vattimo did all the styling and Barbie Mercedes did Ashleigh's hair and make-up.  This was all part of our Custom Style Portrait Boutique, where we provide fashion expertise (Michaela), hair and make-up and an enjoyable and fun photography session :-)

What a fun couple! They had me laughing the entire shoot, except when I stepped in a fire ant pile (yikes!).  Jenna's sister-in-law and mom did a great job keeping everyone cool thanks to their handy dandy fan-misters (I'll check and see if these two lovely ladies are up for hire for your shoot!).  I'm looking forward to Jenna and Kyle's wedding coming up this June! I've been photographing Hanna since she was about 2 weeks old.  I usually know with Hanna that I am going to have to keep her really entertained and shoot fast!  Hanna loves birds, so on this shoot her stuffed parrot was able to keep her pretty entertained while I got the photos I wanted.  I love all the expressions she has, even the mad ones! Each photo has so much personality, not the typical folded hands in lap, looking at camera and smiling perfectly...no, no... there is definitely life in these photos! When she was 2 we did a scene with her and a bunch of apples (posted one of these below)...it...
