River District Fort Myers

This couple made my job easy! Not only are they so incredible sweet together, they look like Barbie and Ken, but they were super comfortable posing in front of the camera for their engagement shoot. I photographed them last month when I was back in Florida. We covered a lot of grounds in the River District of Fort Myers, FL capturing their engagement pictures.  And we lucked out with some awesome natural lighting, thank you clouds! :) It was hard to narrow down my favorites engagement photos to put up here, so warning..there's a lot! It has been a crazy few weeks of all shooting and no blogging!  Phew! We took a little break from beach sessions to capture Amanda and Anthony's engagement portraits in downtown Fort Myers.  I just love how versatile the River District can be.  And this smoking hot couple was a blast to work with...so photogenic and easy-going! And once again...I'm a little late on posting these portraits.  :-/  I enjoyed meeting this family very much.  Both the parents work in creative fields which made it really fun knowing they had a creative eye too.   In fact, Gretchen is an amazing painter..check her out: http://www.pawpalettes.com/home . As I was looking through these I realized one of the locations is no more.  The new restaurant, Firestone, has painted the brick wall.  Crazy how downtown Fort Myers keeps changing, but it really looks great!

Finally getting a full blog up on a wedding instead of just a sneak peek!  And I just had to get this one up here...beautiful couple, beautiful day! Sarah and Brandon tied the knot at The Edison Restaurant.  I have never photographed a wedding at this location before, but definitely hope I do again!   I loved the atmosphere, old Fort Myers feel mixed with Thomas Edison memorabilia.  And then you add in TR Designs who did a fabulous job on the decorations and wedding planning.   If you know me, you know I am a sucker for feathers and Todd used lots!  Swoon! :) The ceremony was outside...

Senior season is in full swing!  We took Samantha's portraits a little while back and what a perfect model with an amazing smile (I'm super envious of her dimple!!).  We covered a good bit of downtown Fort Myers, which always makes for a great backdrop.  And I even convinced her to pick a dance pose in the middle of the street, such a great sport. ;)

Here's to a week all about LOVE! All of my photoshoots this week have been couples - ranging from boyfriend/girlfriend, engaged, married for 8+ years and married for 50 years (awesome!).  I thought it was fitting that they all happened to have their sittings the week of Valentine's Day.  And in between shoots, I finished up this gorgeous couples print order and once again realized I haven't posted any from their sitting (not surprising, right?! Rhiannon and Ron picked the Veranda restaurant in downtown Fort Myers for their ceremony and reception.  It's a beautiful location with a brick courtyard, romantic lighting, lush greenery...and close to the water where we were able to run snap a few photos.  I highly recommend wherever you pick for your wedding, utilize that area!  Filter in enough time for your photos so you aren't rushed and can get a variety of locations, lighting, poses, etc.! And to the newlyweds, Rhiannon and Ron - I was so thrilled to be your photographer and share your wedding day with you!  You both are such fun-loving...
