I'm thoroughly impressed with Samantha for getting her beautiful family ready for family portraits on the beach for an early morning session...while on vacation!  I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to the beach and lighting, it has to be early (like sunrise early) or sunset!  Luckily, this day we had a bit of a cloudy start so it gave us little more time. Their little girl was adorable, such a little angel!  It is always fun to follow a toddler around on the beach and see what they will do and how they'll react to the sand and water.  :)

As usual another year has flown by so quickly!  So in an effort to do something "year end-ish" I journeyed back through the images of people we had the opportunity to photograph in 2012.  This has been the most fun year YET!  I truly want to thank you all for your business, loyalty, friendship and artistic freedom!  I love my job so much and you have all given me such an amazing year.   I look forward to serving you this next year! This year has been so fun...and one big reason why is that I have had the opportunity to see so much growth in my dear sweet clients!  From beautiful couples tying the knot, to others having babies, to this gorgeous family and seeing their little ones grow a year older.  And now, even as I write this, I realize these two cutie pies are probably looking even older (I'm a little late on getting this blog post up, no surprise there!). I remember telling my mom when I was little that I wanted to be a babysitter when I grew up...well after taking this precious family's photos and spending time with their adorable baby boy, I remember why I wanted to!  So fun!  He was the perfect model and had plenty of cute little expressions.  Not sure that I'll quit my day job to follow that childhood dream (haha), but I do love getting some kiddo time :)

It is graduation season!  And as we are gearing up for the summer of photographing the next year's class graduates, we're also finishing orders and books for this year's seniors.  We did Jenny's photos on Sanibel Island, a beautiful beach session.  She brought along a variety of great outfits, from casual cowboy hat to prom dress.  Loved it!  We also lucked out with a pretty amazing sunset!  Congratulations Jenny!

I'm back!  I'm emerging from my cave of editing, scheduling,  and planning long enough to blog.  I had to post these photos...oh how I love the beach this time of year.  And to add to that love, I get lucky with this cute munchkin!  This little princess is at the age where she is copying everything you say...so fun!  And then when I saw her a week later, she remembered me...then pointed to my husband and asked "who's dat?"  Too cute!  To start out with her photos is one of my favs...

I feel old.  This wonderful young man I can actually remember when he was a baby.  He has always been my dear friend's little brother...and now he has grown up! Where does the time go?  I fear there may be many more posts like this, haha! Anyway, it was a joy to do Joshua's senior photos.  I had a lot of fun and Josh..well he was super patient.  I can't imagine that taking senior photos is many guys highlights, but I'm excited he hung in there until the end!  We covered a lot of ground in the River District (which by the way is decorated for Christmas already, yay!!) and then finished up in my studio. ...

What a beautiful evening for beach photos at South Seas Resort.   I love it went it runs smooth and hard not to with such great subjects.  Ahhh... I love my job! :-)  And on that note, just a little reminder...book now for your family holiday photos.  Weekends are scarce this time of year and our daylight is getting shorter and shorter!  But the weather is beautiful, got to love this time of year in Florida!  And Gillian - your family is precious!  I thoroughly enjoyed photographing your lovely family and meeting you all!  I look forward to next time!
