I'm thoroughly impressed with Samantha for getting her beautiful family ready for family portraits on the beach for an early morning session...while on vacation! I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to the beach and lighting, it has to be early (like sunrise early) or sunset! Luckily, this day we had a bit of a cloudy start so it gave us little more time.
Their little girl was adorable, such a little angel! It is always fun to follow a toddler around on the beach and see what they will do and how they'll react to the sand and water. :)

I have that itch again (not from a fire ant!)...I'm ready to go on a trip and explore! I'm currently sitting at my computer editing and retouching projects and off to the side I have my husband's laptop with Pinterest up while I search for photos of where to go next. :) I've already calculated the cost and when would be the cheapest time to fly, the big question is where...? Not really where I want to go, because I want to go everywhere, but where can I convince my husband we should go? ;) He takes a lot of convincing, so I've taken to texting him photos everyday of various options.
So...

We took a little break from beach sessions to capture Amanda and Anthony's engagement portraits in downtown Fort Myers. I just love how versatile the River District can be. And this smoking hot couple was a blast to work with...so photogenic and easy-going!
Congratulations Amanda and Anthony...your upcoming wedding(s) are going to be amazing, I'm positive of that. :) Cheers!

I can't get over how cute these two little kiddos are! And they were so sweet with each other for the whole shoot, I'm sure they never ever fight! ;) Here are a few of the photos that made me smile...

As usual another year has flown by so quickly! So in an effort to do something "year end-ish" I journeyed back through the images of people we had the opportunity to photograph in 2012. This has been the most fun year YET! I truly want to thank you all for your business, loyalty, friendship and artistic freedom! I love my job so much and you have all given me such an amazing year. I look forward to serving you this next year!
So here is just a small collection of 2012. And in the words of Benjamin Franklin. "Be at war with your vices; at peace with your neighbors, and let every...

This year has been so fun...and one big reason why is that I have had the opportunity to see so much growth in my dear sweet clients! From beautiful couples tying the knot, to others having babies, to this gorgeous family and seeing their little ones grow a year older. And now, even as I write this, I realize these two cutie pies are probably looking even older (I'm a little late on getting this blog post up, no surprise there!).
We've been able to join Gillian and her family on vacation on Captiva Island for two years in a row now to take some family portraits. Always a pleasure and always...

I was able to go visit my dear college friend up in North Carolina last month and meet her 9 month old baby boy for the first time. It was so fun, he was such a little ham!
So as much as I love Florida and the beaches, I have to say the state of NC is quite lovely! I really enjoyed my time up there and was able to take their family portraits in their own backyard. Yes, I know what you are thinking, you'd like to rent out their backyard for your family portraits...well that can be arranged! Haha :)
And to the 'S' family...love and miss you all!
Love baby feet!!!!

I love this family!!! Not only are they wonderful and sweet friends, but they are quite stylish and a blast to photograph! And it was the first shoot in a long time where I didn't have to dance around and act like a clown trying to get youngsters attention, haha. ;)
I told them I want to use their portraits as a great example of what you can wear. While not being too matchy-matchy, they coordinated well, each with their own personal style. Love it! Some food for thought as you start planning your holiday portrait session. Call me and we can discuss!
