Introducing Lavery|Newborn and Baby Photography

This sweet little angel totally made my day!  I had the opportunity to photograph this newborn at 8 days old (or should I say 8 days new?).  And from putting on her first tutu throughout the entire shoot she was a the perfect model!

Typically with babies at this age, we plan to do all sleeping poses and those are usually my favorite, but….I think this one is my favorite. 🙂

1See what I mean?  Such a poser already! {swooning!}

Family Beach Portraits, Sanibel Island

So maybe 6 years ago I photographed my friends, Chris and Kim, at the beach, just the two of them (first photo below).  And here we are again, back at the beach plus two very adorable little girls!  It’s fun to see how much can change…even just looking back over this year.  Speaking of, where on earth did 2013 go?!

Just before Christmas we headed out to Lighthouse Beach on Sanibel Island for a sunset photoshoot.  These two little girls kept me laughing and having such a great time.  While one little girl is much more dainty and delicate, not really interested in getting sandy, wet or dirty…the younger sister didn’t mind getting soaked and even trying a bite or two of sand!  Such cute little girls!

Happy New Year!  I’m excited for 2014 and what it has in store (traveling???!)!

Spencer, Newborn Photography

And the world welcomes Spencer!

We did all of Spencer’s newborn portraits here at my studio…what a gem!  She slept like a little angel while we swapped out tutus, hats, and bows. 🙂  Lily (big sister) is so proud of her baby sister and was generous with hugs and kisses for her.

Congratulations Jaime and Clay, love your two precious little girls!

Emmie, Maternity + Newborn Portraits

A big congratulations to Valerie and Greg on their new baby girl!

We roughed the humidity (and noseeums!) at Lighthouse Beach for some maternity portraits and wound up with a gorgeous sunset.  Then a couple months later we did Emmie’s newborn session at my studio.  What a perfect baby girl, such a great model already!  So precious!

Emma + Elise, Portrait Studio Session

Unending cuteness is how I can sum up this session!  Love these two little girls, their big smiles and gorgeous eyes!

With each session I always feel totally blessed that I have the best job in the world …and with these two girls there is no exception.  😉 They make my job easy!

Fort Myers Beach Portraits

I’m thoroughly impressed with Samantha for getting her beautiful family ready for family portraits on the beach for an early morning session…while on vacation!  I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to the beach and lighting, it has to be early (like sunrise early) or sunset!  Luckily, this day we had a bit of a cloudy start so it gave us little more time.

Their little girl was adorable, such a little angel!  It is always fun to follow a toddler around on the beach and see what they will do and how they’ll react to the sand and water.  🙂

Amy + Dave, Family Portraits

Here is a little series of portraits from my last three sessions with this lovely family.  We started out with a Christmas maternity session at Koreshan State Park.  A couple months later I got a few quick shots at the hospital after Baby Girl #2 was born!  A week after that, beautiful baby Elise came in for her portraits and then when she was two months we got the whole family together (or at least at my studio at the same time 🙂 ).

I absolutely love seeing families grow…just six years ago we were taking their engagement portraits and here they are now with two gorgeous girls.  Congratulations Amy and Dave!

Backyard Portraits, North Carolina

I was able to go visit my dear college friend up in North Carolina last month and meet her 9 month old baby boy for the first time.  It was so fun, he was such a little ham!

So as much as I love Florida and the beaches, I have to say the state of NC is quite lovely!  I really enjoyed my time up there and was able to take their family portraits in their own backyard.  Yes, I know what you are thinking, you’d like to rent out their backyard for your family portraits…well that can be arranged! Haha 🙂

And to the ‘S’ family…love and miss you all!

Love baby feet!!!!

Newborn Baby Portrait, studio

The weekend is here!  I can’t believe how fast this summer is flying by and my goal of catching up on blogging isn’t happening! Ahh!  But is has been nice to catch up on editing, albums and cleaning my office 🙂  Before I take off for the weekend I have to post this little sugar plum’s portrait up here.  Payton was an angel to photograph, slept perfectly…such a poser!

Have a fabulous weekend!

🙂 Alison
